It is the process of improving the corrosion resistance making thin oxide film on the metal surface. Normally, Stainless makes it hard to rust by binding components contained in stainless steel itself and Oxygen in the air. (※Stainless can be rusted by acid and alkalis) But in order to increase further corrosion resistance, it generates an additional thin uniform film by using an oxidizing agent of nitric acid. Also, it can be used for most stainless steel and it hardly change the appearance, size and the performance of spring itself.
